Until Today

Why We Love It – Ann Ferguson
This is a 365-day kind of calendar devotional thing. For today, it says, “I know I will know peace when I seek consolation from the right source. There are things that you only need to discuss with God.
It is not necessary to let everyone know everything about you. In fact, it is probably wise that you don’t. There are some things that do not need to be exposed to the views and opinions of other people. There are some aspects of your personality that you should not reveal to people, not because you want to hide them, but because they need healing.
People cannot heal you. Only God can do that. There are some places in your life that are such a mess that you cannot risk somebody stepping in and making things any more difficult than they already are. Things about you and about your life where you do not need counseling.
There are things about you that need divine counsel, and you know exactly what they are. Take these things in the sanctuary of your heart and ask God to show you what to do. Until today, you may have been telling other people things about yourself and your life. That you need only share with God. Just for today, go into your sanctuary for Divine counsel.”
It is such a beautiful book. It’s called “Until Today.” I read every single day for a while.
